Te Tuhi Youth Art Award, 2011

Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts in Pakuranga, Auckland, is a contemporary art project space. It runs an annual youth art award for secondary-school students. In 2011 Pukekohe High School student Hanako Chatani won the award, and her painting was reproduced on a giant billboard on Auckland's southern motorway.
